The agenda of Grand Alliance is to save family and capital: Shyam Rajak

Patna, October 18 (IANS). JDU leader Shyam Rajak reacted sharply to the ongoing differences in the Grand Alliance during the Bihar Assembly elections. While verbally attacking the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family, he said that the agenda of the Grand Alliance is not Bihar but to save the family and capital. In a special conversation with news agency IANS on Saturday, JDU leader Shyam Rajak said the fundamental difference between NDA and the Grand Alliance is in thinking. NDA has been running schemes for every division of Bihar for the past 20 years under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Our thinking is for the development of Bihar. On the other hand, the people of Grand Alliance do politics only for their family and self-interest. He has nothing to do with the people of Bihar. On the internal differences of the Lalu family, Rajak said that when the aim of politics becomes selfishness instead of service, then infighting becomes natural. There is a competition in the Lalu family as to who will have more money, capital and influence. This is the reason why family members start making statements and acting towards each other. On the relationship between Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad, he said that there is a lot of difference between the two. Lalu Yadav gave voice to the poor but got caught in the web of nepotism and corruption. At the same time, Tejashwi is not mature in politics; He was born with a silver spoon and does politics with arrogance. The situation is that Lalu Yadav himself has been politically imprisoned by his own family. They are only brought up when needed. Regarding ticket distribution in RJD, Rajak claimed that it has become a tradition in the party to get tickets on the basis of money. Someone has a ticket in the morning and it is changed by the evening. It is clear that the party follows the policy of ‘bring money and get ticket’. People who have never been workers get into politics only with the help of money power. Rajak also claimed that almost all the members of the Lalu family are angry with Tejashwi Yadav. Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap, Misa Bharti and Rohini Acharya are all upset with Tejashwi. Tejashwi does politics not for service but to increase his capital and wealth. On his decision to quit RJD, Shyam Rajak said that socialism has now been replaced by money politics in RJD. Staying there means engaging in ticket politics based on money. He was not in agreement with my thinking and politics. –IANS ASH/PSK Share this story Tags
