It’s not every day a Real Housewife is silenced by shock, but that was the case in the Part 1 reunion of season 7’s The Real Housewives of Miami. Julia Lemigova threw a theoretical grenade when she admitted that she and fellow Housewife Adriana de Moura slept together on a cast trip four years earlier.
The admission caused audible gasps from the group. It’s one of the first times Housewives admitted to a sexual relationship with each other. The series has been on an uphill trajectory ever since returning to screens after a hiatus before season 4, and this bombshell just solidified it as one of the top cities in the Real Housewives franchise.
Julia Lemigova And Adriana de Moura Allegedly Slept Together
In the first part of RHOM’s Season 7 reunion, Julia Lemigova sought to clarify some of her more emotional reactions this season: she and her former best friend, Adriana de Moura, had slept together while on a cast trip to the Hamptons.
The cast was speechless, leaving many with unanswered questions. At first, Adriana laughed at Julia’s claim and denied the accusation. However, little by little, secrets came out that proved the two were intimate on more than one occasion.
“I never scissored anybody!”
According to thumbs upAdriana claimed the two “kissed” and slept in the same bed but never had sex. Julia, on the other hand, disputed that they had sex and played around on another occasion.
Julia claimed she came forward with this confession to shed light on why her friendship with Adriana was so strained in season 7. She explained that Adriana had been blackmailing her, threatening to share their secret if she didn’t comply with Adriana’s rules and stop spending time with Adriana’s Real Housewives enemies.
Interestingly, although Adriana denies sleeping with Julia, she later told Julia that she would have taken her secret to “her wife,” admitting that they had fooled around occasionally.
“You are such a fool. I would’ve kept your secret to the grave. And when I told you, ‘I’m gonna break the fourth wall,’ it wasn’t about any of that…”
The drama didn’t stop there. Andy began asking more questions about their alleged encounters, especially because Julia was still married to her wife, Martina Navratilova.
Julia told the host that Martina knew about her rendezvous with Adriana and that, at the time, her marriage was not great. The two have been married since 2014 and welcomed two sons through adoption. Julia affirmed that she and Martina are in a better place today, but she didn’t want Julia to air her dirty laundry on the air.
The episode ended with Adriana and Julia at a standstill over their friendship. Although both women were hurt, Julia wasn’t against the idea of remaining friends. A resolution to the debacle will (hopefully) be shown in Part 3.
What Does This Mean For The Cast For Season 8 Of RHOM?
The cast was divided by the end of The Real Housewives of Miami’s seventh season. Guerdy Abraira, Stephanie Shojaee, and Lisa Hochstein were on one side of the reunion couch with Adriana de Moura, while Julia Lemigova was on the other with Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Kiki Barth, and Marysol Patton.
A divided cast is the norm The Real Housewives, but an alleged sexual encounter between castmates, where both women share different sides, is a jaw-dropping storyline for the franchise that could alter its future.
Fans saw a dramatic change when a similar situation happened in season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when Brandi Glanville alleged that she and Denise Richards slept together. Denise denied the allegations and was visibly upset for the remainder of the season. Neither woman came back for season 11.
Now that Julia and her wife are in a better place in their marriage and have two new kids in their family, it will be interesting to see if they come back for season 8. The same can be said for Adriana, who has been a part of the series since season 1.
Regardless of their presence in season 8, ROME continues to give audiences everything they’re looking for in reality TV and remains one of the franchise’s top cities.
