Jakarta – An accident with a car and motorcycle at the Hambalang angle, Citerup, Bogor Regency. The accident resulted in both vehicles falling into a 2 meter high riverbank. “The vehicles involved in the accident were a sedan and a motorcycle. There were no deaths, only minor injuries,” Citerup police chief Edy Santosa said Wednesday (8/10/2025). Browse to continue with the content, Edy said the accident happened when the sedan with the license plate number B 2007 toy around a sharp bend in the direction of Hambalang, about 15.00 WIB, driving around. The accident was presumably caused by the sedan driver who pressed the wrong pedal. “When we arrived at the crime scene, he was shocked at a sharp corner (the sedan driver) because a motorcycle moved out of the direction of Hambalang whose license plate number was unknown. Because the sedan driver was shocked and forgot to walk on the brake pedal, the gas pedal, so (the sedan), hit R2 (motorcycle),” said Edy. “Both vehicles entered a small river with a depth of about 2 meters from the road surface,” Eddy explained. Edy confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident. Both drivers sustained minor injuries. “From this incident, the driver of the vehicle was R4 (sedan car) and the vehicle R2 (motorcycle) safe, only the driver of R2 (motorcycle) suffered barn on his right leg,” Edy said. “The substantial loss of vehicle R4 is damage to the body and bumper, vehicle R2 was severely damaged and was taken to a recovery store,” he added.
