7 people arrested for kidnapping and murdering Pune businessman in Bihar

Bihar police have arrested seven people, including a woman, after a Pune businessman landed at Patna Airport in connection with her kidnapping and murder. A senior official said the body of Laxman Sadhu Shinde was found in the Jehanabad district Bihar on Tuesday. He ended up at Patna Airport on April 11. The official said the gang leader who was kidnapped and murder was also arrested. Four other people were detained for questioning. Those arrested were identified as Ranjit Patel alias Munna, Vipatra Kumar, Lalbihari, Vikas alias Mohit, Kundan Kumar, Sangeta Kumari and Sachin Ranjan. However, police did not identify the detained people and the leader sent to judicial custody. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Holiday Kumar said with reporters on Tuesday: “Police received a complaint from Pune business family members that they could not contact him after landing at Patna Airport.” He said: “Based on the preliminary investigation and investigation into CCTV footage, the police registered a kidnapping case and formed a special team to arrest the accused. Police repaired the vehicle used in the kidnapping of the Vaishali businessman and also detained the owner of the car.” During the interrogation in custody, the owner of Vipatra Kumar explained the identity of other people. The SSP said police later arrested 11 people in the case of Nawada, Gaya, Nalanda and Vaishali. He said seven people were arrested and police questioned four. He said the investigation revealed that the accused was associated with a gang of interstate criminals who used to raise money from people and also demanded a ransom for the release of the abducted people. The SSP reported that it was also involved in several cases of kidnapping and murder at Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka and other places. The accused demanded a ransom from the family members of Pune businessman and received about Rs 90,000. Share this story -tags
