The congress moved the Supreme Court, demanding to remove Minister Vijay Shah from the post
Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Vijay Shah was once again engulfed in controversies. The national spokesman and leader of Congress, Dr. Jaya Thakur, filed a new petition against him in the Supreme Court. The petition demanded that Minister Vijay Shah be removed from the post immediately because of the alleged offensive statement made about the military officer of military officer, Colonel Sophia Qureshi, in the context of the operation ‘Sindoor’. Dr. Jaya Thakur cleared in his petition that the statement of Minister Vijay Shah not only harmed the honor of the armed forces of the women, but that it is also to the gender equality and a sense of respect in the Indian Constitution. He requested the Supreme Court to take the case seriously and the government must be instructed to dismiss the minister. What is the matter? Recently, Vijay Shah questioned the leadership of Colonel Sophia Qureshi on a public platform and made a statement in the context of ‘Operation Sindoor’. He said that “the leadership of some people in the army becomes only a means of publicity.” The opposition called this statement as anti -women and against the dignity of the army. A contingent of the Indian army led by Colonel Sophia Qureshi under Operation ‘Sindoor’ performed a large counter-terrorism action in Jammu and Kashmir, in which many terrorists were piled up. This mission was appreciated internationally. The leader of Congress Jaya Thakur said that such statements weaken the Morale of the Indian Army and this reflects the mentality against women. If he takes a spade at the central government and the Madhya Pradesh government, he asked if people with similar ideas should entrust the responsibility of the ministry? He also claimed that a double policy was adopted in the BJP government for women’s honor – on the one hand, the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ is given, while the ministers make derogatory remarks against the women on the other. The next step has not yet been set for the date of trial on this petition in the Supreme Court, but the political movement has increased regarding this petition. If the Supreme Court hears this, this case can take a big turn in the politics of Madhya Pradesh. At present, no official response was given by the BJP to this petition, but according to the sources, the party considers the matter as ‘political stunts’. Share this story -tags
