The country is moving towards Naxal-free India, work is being done within the ambit of development and constitution: Sanjay Nirupam

Mumbai, October 18 (IANS). Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the end of Naxal. Nirupam said that the government deserves congratulations for ending the Naxalite terrorism in the country. In a special conversation with IANS, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam said Prime Minister Modi said when the government was formed in 2014, around 125 districts of the country were affected by Naxalism. With continuous efforts of 11 years, there has been a huge reduction in Naxalism and the aim is to completely free India from Naxalism by March 2026. Recently, a large number of Naxalites have surrendered in Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. He said that the government has reached the final stage in the direction of establishing development and peace while living within the boundaries of the Constitution. Sanjay Nirupam made scathing remarks about RJD supremo Lalu Prasad. He said notorious gangster Shahabuddin, close to Lalu Yadav and once synonymous with terror in the Siwan-Chhapra region, had created an atmosphere of fear and violence in Bihar. Now RJD has given ticket to the same Shahabuddin’s son, who adopts the same language and attitude as his father. He said if such people get a chance, terror and hooliganism will return to Bihar. Nirupam appealed to the voters of Chhapra and Siwan to reject such criminal minded candidates and play their role in maintaining law and order. Nirupam was reacting to the uproar at Jashn-e-Charaga at Nizamuddin Dargah. He said that the Dargah of Nizamuddin Auliya is the place where Hindus and Muslims come together for centuries. The history of this nearly thousand year old Dargah is linked with mutual harmony and Sufi traditions. Sufi saints always respected Hindu traditions and many Muslim rulers translated Hindu texts and propagated their ideas. In such a situation, if any organization objects to organizing Diwali or mutual harmony program in the Dargah, then it is a conspiracy to promote fundamentalism and divide the society. –IANS ASH/SCH Share this story Tags
