Safapora police station has registered a case under the Animal Prevention Act. SSP Khalil Ahmed Poswal said animal abuse would not be tolerated and urged people to inform about such incidents. Police on Friday registered a case against two people for brutally killing a stray dog in the Safapora village of the Ganderball district. Police spokesman said the incident came out by reliable sources and internet media, causing widespread public outrage over its inhuman nature. Safapora police station, while he acted quickly, registered Fir 13/2025 in terms of the applicable provisions of the Act, including the Animal Cruelty Prevention Act. Both the accused has been identified and arrested and now further legal action is underway.
