CJI's mother, Kamalti Gawai's emotional response, 'boy named the country'

Kamalti Gawai, mother of the new Chief Justice (CJI) Bhushan Ramakrishna Gawai, India’s new Chief Justice (CJI), expressed happiness on the boy’s performance and said he would work to give the people right. Every parent wishes their son to become a big man, get respect and do something good for the country. I hope the same. It is noteworthy that Justice Gawai was sworn in as the 52nd chief justice of the country on May 14. President Draupadi Murmu took him the oath of office. He became the second Dalit CJI of the country. Earlier, Justice Kg Balakrishnan held the post in 2007, which was the first Dalit CJI. In addition, Justice Gawai recently said he is also the first Buddhist chief justice of the country. Bhushan Ramakrishna Gawai was born on November 24, 1960 in Amravati, Maharashtra. He started lawyer in 1985 and soon made an excellent identity in judicial service with his talent and dedication. According to the information, from 1993 to 2000, he continued to serve as a government advocate and public prosecutor. Additional Judge in the Bombay High Court in 2003 and a permanent judge in 2005. After being appointed to the Supreme Court in 2019, he was part of about 700 banks, in which he made many historical decisions in matters related to areas such as Constitution, Criminals, Environment, Education. Justice Gawai represented India at international conferences held in countries such as Mongolia, America, Britain and Kenya. He presented lectures in universities such as Colombia and Harvard. His tenure will take seven months until November 23, 2025.
