Currently, it is in many places in the tendency to tell stories of yourself and others through this art medium and to express one’s heart before everyone. Dastangoi consists of two words, ‘dastan’ and ‘gi’. Dastan means story and GEI means to tell. In this, the ‘dastango’ or the artist who tells the story interwoven through a strange combination of voice, words and facial expressions, such a magical world of the story, in which everyone is gradually plunged. Mughal -in -law in India was an important reason for the bloom of Dastangoi here. Here, this art made his place in the courts of rulers like Akbar and Jahangir and won everyone’s hearts with his presentations. It is believed that Dastangoi also saw here with the setting sun of the Mughal rich. But in 2005, Shamsoor Rehman Farooqui and Mahmood Farooqui tackled the task together to revive it. This is why this art today alleviates the great auditoriums of cities such as Delhi-Bombay. One such memorable offer, ‘Dastaan-e-Guru Dutt’, was enjoyed by a large crowd in the Kamani Auditorium in Delhi on October 11. From every small story to every large part of Guru Dutt’s life, it was mentioned in it. The audience, which came into this story, that tells many aspects of his life in detail, was seen laughter, sometimes sung and sometimes crying. India’s first lady Dastango, Fauzia Dastango and emerging singer Latika Jain made this event memorable for everyone. It has not just become a gathering, but an unforgettable experience for everyone.
