The Family Thread’ Sets Premiere Date At Prime Video


EXCLUSIVE: Veteran comedian Kathleen Madigan is set to bring her new special, The Family Thread, to Prime Video on November 21. She returns to the streamer immediately on the heels of her most recent special, 2023’s Hunting Bigfoot, which also debuted on Prime Video.
Described as the fun lady at the end of the bar with a lot of opinions and only half of the information, Madigan’s new special explores topics including gambling as math education, Midwest pioneers, her four cats, and aging parents, as well as modern church competition. Over the course of her career, the comic has released six one-hour specials — prior to that Hunting Bigfootunveiling Bothering Jesus on Netflix. Madigan has also made over 40 appearances on late-night and daytime talk shows and appeared on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld. In 2020, taking advantage of time off touring on the road because of the pandemic, she created Madigan’s Pubcast, a podcast where she shares her thoughts on everything from Taylor Swift to Area 51. The show has garnered over 10 million streams across its 200+ episodes.
