The Egyptian Football Association announced a set of new controls related to loan players, as part of the general rules for the registration and transfers of the players for the football season 2025/2026, as part of its endeavor to organize the transfer market and enhance fair competition between clubs.
The Football Association has set the maximum of the seconds for each club so that no club may loan more than six players with a maximum of one during the one football season, and likewise the club may not borrow more than six players during the same season.
With regard to loan and borrowing to and from the same club, to ensure the distribution of players and prevent their concentration in one club through loan, the federation decided that it is not permissible to loan more than three players from the same club to another club during the season, and in return, no club may borrow more than three players from the same club during the same season.
The federation specified in the terms of the registration for the new season, and it is decided that the maximum loan period will be only one year, so the player may not be loaned for a period of more than a year.
These measures aim to control the movement of players, and give the clubs an opportunity to support their ranks in an organized manner, while maintaining a competitive balance in all competitions.
