The government of Punjab is committed to buying one grain of crop: Harchand Singh Burst
Patiala, April 11 (IANS). Harchand Singh Burst, chairman of the Punjab Mandi Council, visited the new Grain Market of Patiala on Friday and launched the process of acquiring the government of the government. He says that the Punjab government is committed to purchasing one grain of the crop. On this occasion, Harchand Singh Bury said that the Punjab government led by Punjab’s chief minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, will ensure that farmers have no problems in the Mandis. District Mandi officer Manideeep Singh was also present at the event. While the government’s purchases are starting, Harchand Singh Bury said that the Punjab government is fully ready to buy one grain from the crop and that the payment process of the purchased wheat will also be done on time. He informed that all necessary arrangements were made to ensure that farmers did not have to experience a problem. In the Mandis, proper arrangements for cleaning, drinking water and seats are ensured. Harchand Singh Burst said that approximately 136 lakh metric tons of wheat is likely to enter the state of the state. Keeping this bumper crop in mind, arrangements were made for permanent mandis of 1864 as well as temporary Mandis in the state, where strong arrangements were made for the acquisition and upliftment of wheat. He further informed that the arrival of wheat so far in the 109 mandis established in the Patiala district has so far begun in 28 Mandis. By April 10, 3578 MT Wheat reached the Mandis of the Patiala district. This time, about 9.5 lakh metric tons of wheat is expected to come in the Patiala district. A large number of farmers and agents were present at the event, including Pradhan Satwinder Singh Saini, Naresh Kumar, Pargat Singh, Khardaman Rai, Hardv Singh, Secretary Ashwini Kumar Mahata. -Ians fz/ share these story tags
