The government opens national internship group 2 in November, there are 80 thousand quotas

Jakarta – The government will reopen a national internship program for recent graduates or fresh university graduates. The total quota for the second wave of this program is 80 thousand from the previous 20 thousand. “Furthermore, the government provides an internship program for college graduates, the purpose of which is to provide work experience to new graduates, both in the industrial business world, BUMN, including government institutions and Bank Indonesia,” Coordinating Minister for Economy Airlangga Hartarto told journalists at the Post Office, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Friday (17/10/2025). “The first batch of apprentices was 20 thousand people and was opened to start working on October 20, next month it will be reopened and increased to 80 thousand. The second batch of 80 thousand will be opened in November,” continued Airlangga. In addition to pocket money, participants will also receive job loss insurance money. “Interns and all apprentices receive monthly pocket money which is the same as the UMP and in addition they receive job loss insurance contributions and JKN and do not deduct from the pocket money provided by the government,” said Airlangga. Airlangga said in the first batch, there were 156 thousand fresh graduates who applied. Meanwhile, the total jobs offered are 26,181 vacancies. “Today, the number of companies registering and preparing jobs is 1,666 companies, the jobs offered are 26,181 vacancies and the number of applicants is 156,159 people,” he said.
