Kolkata, April 15 (IANS). In Western Bengals, protests have tightened over the ongoing attacks on Hindu, saints and religious symbols. Swami Shivanand Ji Maharaj, who reached Uluberia in Howrah to attend the rally organized rally, fiercely attacked the Mamata Banerjee government. He expressed concern about the weakened situation in the state, saying that the Republic is now in Bengal. Swami Shivanandji Maharaj claimed that Hindus is constantly attacked, but the state government and police remain dumb spectators. He said that the hair of a saint (child) in Howrah like Hiranyamay Goswami Maharaj was cut by Jihadi elements, which is not only a trauma on religious feelings, but also shows that the law and order in the state have completely collapsed. He claimed that a conspiracy hatched to make Bengal a ‘Bangladesh’ and that the government remained completely inactive. He said the chief minister Mamata Banerjee and police said the state administration was not taking strict steps or providing security to the victims. Swami Shivanand said Hindus migrated from areas such as Murshidabad, because there are incidents of violence and arson by Jihadi elements. If he gives examples of places like Malda, Shyampur and Beldanga, he said that Durga is demolished, unrest is distributed during the occasion of Kartik Pooja and Ram Navami, but the state administration takes no action. He demanded intervention from the central government in light of the increasing uncertainty and religious intolerance in the state. Swami Shivanand has requested the president, prime minister and minister of interior affairs to implement president’s rule in Western Bengals so that the safety of the people and the protection of the Constitution can be ensured. He said that if no strict steps are taken, the situation in the state could be worse. -Ians PSM/CBT Share this story Tags
