Tarn Taran, October 9 (IANS). Border Security Force (BSF) troops showed extraordinary vigilance, and an Indian smuggler arrested and found two pistols and magazines from him in two separate operations near Wan -dorp in the Tarn Taran district Punjab. It is feared that this consignment of weapons was dropped by Drone by Pakistan. This action was taken based on special information received from the Intelligence Branch of BSF. In the first operation, the BSF and Punjab police conducted a joint operation and arrested a smuggler in the paddy fields. A gun and magazine were recovered from its place. In another search operation conducted shortly thereafter, another package wrapped in yellow adhesive tape was found in nearby fields. At the opening of this parcel, another gun and additional magazine were recovered. The package also attached a metal loop to it, which is regularly used to drop objects from drones. These successful activities once again highlighted the operational excellence of BSF and its strong coordination with the Punjab police in the obstacle to the border smuggling efforts. The BSF official said this seizure is a great success in renovating the abandoning designs of Pakistan-based smugglers and anti-national elements to disturb peace and safety in Punjab. According to officials, the arrested smuggler is questioned so that other people associated with this smuggling network can be identified and the entire module burst. This incident also underlines the serious challenge of drone activities on the border to constantly upgrade the security forces. –Is Bag/ABM Share This Story Tags
