DEXTER: Original sin has been canceled for season 2, manufacturers to focus on the resurrection publisher
Los Angeles [US]August 23 (Ani): In a disappointing news for all Dexter Morgan fans, ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ is no longer moving forward with a second season. According to Variety, Paramount decided not to continue with another season of the Prequel series. Earlier in April, ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ was officially renewed for season 2, about a month after the first season ended. It was originally promoted in December 2024, with the origin story of Dexter Morgan. Patrick Gibson has been seen how the young version of the iconic killer of murderers plays. As shared by sources close to the development, the series was on Hiatus, with no plans to shoot a second season. There are also no production dates for the show scheduled, Variety said. It is further stated that paramount instead of planning a writers’ room for a possible season 2 of ‘Dexter: Resurrection,’ a follow -up to ‘Dexter’ and ‘Dexter: New Blood’ with Michael C Hall as the head. The updates did not arrive long after the Closing of the Skydance Paramount merger. The team shifted its focus to “resurrection” and the role of Hall as Morgan further in the franchise. ‘Original Sin’, set in 1991, tells the origin story of Dexter Morgan. In addition to Gibson and Hall, the cast also included Molly Brown, Christina Milian, Christian Slater, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, special Gasster Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Dempsey. “If his blood -village can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he takes on a code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to find a specific challenge for young Dexter as the official of a prescribed Enterprises in the Mani Police Division, as quoted by Variety.
