Delhi PCR of Driver Constable Khimesh Singh was arrested after the man fatally hit Thana Mandir Marg

Other fatal accidents reported in Delhi came the tragic incident on the same day as another fatal accident on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, where a scooter rider died after colliding with a Honda City car. The driver fled at the scene immediately after the accident and completely mutilated the scooter. In a separate accident on Sunday, a BMW car hit a motorcycle on Ring Road near Dhaula Kuan and killed Navjot Singh, a deputy secretary in the finance ministry. Singh was driving with his wife when the collision occurred around 1:30 pm. Eyewitnesses reported that a woman was driving the BMW involved in the accident. She and her husband later took a taxi to rush the injured to the hospital, but did not take Singh directly for treatment. Police later identified the driver as Gaganpreet Makkad, 38, who was questioned about why she did not take the victim to the nearest hospital. Makkad claims she was panicked and only knew from one hospital where her children were treated during the Covid-19 pandemic. Makkad was subsequently arrested, and a Delhi court has now expanded her judicial supervision until September 27. The court also gave the police more time to submit arguments about her bail in connection with the case.
