The Kolkata police started preparations for Durga Puja Carnival on Red Road

Kolkata, October 4 (IANS). The government of Western Bengals is fully prepared on Sunday to organize a Durga Puja carnival on Red Road in Kolkata. Like every year, this time this time will participate in this carnival. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, her minister of cabinet, other dignitaries and leading guests, will also be included. In light of this, the Kolkata police have made strict security arrangements for the smooth operation of Pooja Carnival. This carnival symbolizes the conclusion of the Durga Puja Festival in Kolkata. According to Kolkata police, a large number of policemen will be deployed on Red Road on Sunday. It is said that about 106 Puja committees will participate in this puja carnival. Red Road and KiderPore Road will remain closed on Sunday. Statues will be installed in the area next to Red Road from Saturday night. During the carnival, a police officer will oversee every idol. A distance will also be maintained between each worship committee. Several senior Kolkata officials will be on duty from Sunday morning. Special arrangements are made for foreign guests attending the carnival. The drone will be monitored. Policemen will also be stationed in Babu Ghat, where the idols will immerse to the carnival. On the other hand, Kolkata Metro will provide extra metro services for the sake of carnival. He issued instructions on Friday that additional Metro services would run on the Blue Line and Green Line on Sunday night. Metro officials said that on that day, Sunday, a total of 6 special trains (3 to 3 down) will be run. There will be a gap of about 20 minutes between each train.
