The 16-part, digital words-and-music experience contains functions Hadestown‘s Tony-winning composer, Anaic mitchelland listeners by taking the inspirations, concepts and creative processes behind the key songs of the musical, which continues in the Broadway’s Walter Kerr theater.
In addition to Mitchell’s comments, the album contains excerpts from the original recording of Broadway. The release of November 1 is the fifth anniversary of the cast album.

Singer-songwriter Mitchell’s Folk and Jazz-infused musical layers are the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice with those of Hades and Pershone, which intertwine the actions and consequences of gods and mortals. Hadestown Originally started as a theater concert performed by Mitchell.
