The manager of Zubeen Garg clarified the ownership of his songs, and the rumors related to financial matters rejected

Guwahati, September 26 (IANS). In the midst of the ongoing speculation about the financial heritage of the late singer Zubeen Garg, his manager Siddharth Sharma on Friday gave an explanation about the ownership of the singer’s music compositions and the income from his creative work. In an open letter, the driver Siddharth Sharma said that most of the 38,000 recorded songs from Garg are in charge of various production houses and music businesses, as opposed to the general perception. He said the singer for most of these songs, including his most hit songs, only got a recording fee once. Sharma wrote, “Almost all the songs from Zubine Da, even most hit songs, were before I came into his life. He regularly complained that he got less money while producers and labels earned crores. It could be confirmed directly from the companies.” To remove misunderstandings, Sharma said the singer set up the Zubeen Garg Music LLP in 2021 to establish his authority over some of his songs, the only company he worked together. The company released about 20 songs with a total investment of about Rs 10 Lakh, of which the singer himself contributed Rs 6 Lakh. Sharma further said: “LLP earned only a few thousand rupees each month. The total amount is in the company’s account, no amount is withdrawn. Zubeen DA has a 60 percent stake in the company, and I consider it their duty to ensure that his wife gets this share legally.” He also emphasized that the royalty that by the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) as a composer and lyricist for the work of Zubeen Garg was always directly directly after the personal version of the singer, and now it must be legally met by his wife Garima Garg. The manager of the singer also denied the allegations of the trust of Zubeen or abused money. Sharma said: “These rumors are unfounded and very sad. I have worked with the special investigative team (Sit) investigating his death and will continue to continue.” He called on the fans of Zubeen and the general public not to be deceived by wrong information. He said: “This is an appeal of one person to another. The investigation must be done without any fear or discrimination. In memory of Zubeen Da, we must bring the truth to the truth.” This elucidation was given amid speculation about the property of Singer after his sudden death in Singapore last week. -Ians DKP/
