Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received a comprehensive report from the Directorate of Health in Matrouh Governorate related to following up the implementation of the health insurance plan for the northern coast during the holiday season, which coincides with the summer of 2025 and the increasing number of citizens in the beach areas.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the report includes everything related to general health procedures and movement controls in the North Coast facilities, in addition to establishing the Central Operations Center and Leadership departments, its needs and methods of management, as well as communication and effective communication methods.

Inspection tours and preventive measures
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the report includes preventive inspection tours on tourist facilities, food facilities, various food serving sites, in addition to clubs and health resorts, water stations, and sewage networks. Preventive measures and infection control were also followed up in NGOs in cities and tourist villages.

Training and preparation
Abdel Ghaffar added that the report includes visits to the sections of infection control and occupational and industrial health in health facilities, with an accurate review of public safety procedures and instructions and ensuring the quality of cadres training. A training program for the heads of treatment was organized to introduce them to preventive procedures and public health work, and to train them to follow up on these procedures. Training plans were also implemented for emergency room employees to monitor infectious diseases and manage poisoning cases, while emphasizing the vaccination of all medical teams and support teams against virus B.
Preparatory measures
A reserve stock of vaccine is also equipped for visitors to the northern coast at Marina Central Hospital, and to provide medical isolation areas in several hospitals. Protocols have been activated between quarantine centers, increased disinfection campaigns in the cities of the northern coast, in addition to taking street samples and insect control extensively.
Following hospitals and clinics
Abdel Ghaffar pointed to the follow -up of hospital readiness, including the distribution of doctors, the operational situation of laboratory and radiology departments, and the presence of the presidential initiative to support women’s health during the health insurance period in the northern coast. Several mobile clinics and periodic visits to clinics sites were also created to ensure the availability of the necessary cadres and meet the needs of the beneficiaries.
Providing medicines and medical supplies
Abdel Ghaffar explained that periodic follow -up includes ensuring the availability of medicines and medical supplies, and preparing daily reports on any deficiency to ensure its avoidance. A sub -warehouse for medicines and medical supplies was established at Marina Central Hospital, in addition to a central operating room working around the clock, linked to the emergency room in the Directorate and the Central Crisis Chamber at the Ministry of Health, to follow up the implementation of the insurance plan.
Hospital commitment
In his report, Dr. Islam Assaf, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Matrouh, stressed the commitment of all hospitals to receive and treat cases immediately through the emergency department. He also stressed the necessity of rapid coordination to refer cases where specialists are not available to other hospitals, with the need to report emergency situations around the clock throughout the week through the unified public safety and safety network, and the provision of evening consultations in hospitals according to the regulations in force.
