The Ministry of Channels for Social Affairs helps for flood victims in Parigi Moutong
Jakarta – The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed emergency logistics help for residents affected by floods in the Bolano Lambunu district, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi. Help was sent by the Nipotowe Center in Palu. Logistics channeled included 100 mattresses, 100 blankets, 100 packages for family kit, 100 packets of children’s equipment (Kidswear) and 100 rolling tents. “The Ministry of Social Affairs moves as soon as it receives reports. Logistic assistance is sent directly from the Palu Nipotowe Center to ensure that the community concerned receives basic protection and services,” Saifullah Yusuf said on Saturday. The Parigi Moutong Regency government has drawn up an emergency response status by the Regent’s decision of June 20, 2025. Until Friday (6/20) afternoon, there were 419 families or 1.357 people affected. A total of 112 heads of family were forced to evacuate, with 82 families holding refugee posts in MTSN Parigi and the rest in family members’ homes. 357 houses are reportedly underwater. There were no reports of injuries or casualties. The Parigi Moutong Regency Social Service with Tagana, BPBD and the district government has done an assessment, as well as establishing refugee service posts with logistics and field staff support. The weather in the affected areas is still reported to rain with moderate to high intensity, and joint officers remain on standby.
