As a concrete step, the Ministry of Manpower integrates the Green Jobs Agenda into national employment planning, including projections of green workforce needs in the RPJMN by a road map prepared with Bappenas. In addition, the Ministry of Manpower strengthens occupational training by updating tools, methods and curricula according to the development in the green sector. The Manpower Ministry also set up Indonesian National Work Power Standards (SKKNI) in the field of renewable energy, waste management and environmentally friendly manufacturing. On the other hand, the government encourages a green entrepreneurial incubation program for workers in the informal sector to expand sustainable jobs. These efforts are accompanied by increased protection for affected employees, as well as strengthening the social dialogue in the implementation of labor norms and wage policies. The Manpower Ministry is also developing Skills -Based Training (PBK) at Community Job Training Centers (BLKK) and Work Centers (BLK) in Indonesia to expand access to skills improvement. “This program is a forum for collaboration between the industrial world and training institutions to accelerate investment in human resources and strengthen the national employment ecosystem,” Anwar explained.
