The Ministry of Social Affairs fully supports the construction of 80 Thousand Red and White Cooperative Stores
Jakarta – The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) confirms its full support for the implementation of the Red and White Village/Kelurahan Cooperative (KDMP) as part of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority program. “This is related to poverty alleviation and the empowerment of village communities,” Agus Jabo Priyono, deputy minister of social affairs, said in his statement on Friday (17/10/2025). He conveyed this when he attended the groundbreaking today for the physical construction of 80,000 KDMP shops, warehouses and equipment in Wanajaya Village, Cibitung, Bekasi. The laying of the first stone is a milestone to start the construction of KDMP simultaneously throughout Indonesia. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Julianto said this activity coincided with President Prabowo Subianto’s birthday and started at 800 points throughout the archipelago. “Today we begin the process of laying the first stone as a symbol of the beginning of physical development, warehouses, outlets and supporting facilities in all 80,000 KDMPs,” explains Ferry. The KDMP physical building will later be owned by the town and managed by the cooperative, so that the benefits will be felt directly by the town community. KDMP is also integrated with the People’s School Program so that parents of students can become members of the cooperative and at the same time use KDMP as a way to market products resulting from the empowerment of PKH Beneficiary Families (KPM). This event was attended by officials from relevant ministries, the TNI and regional governments, including the Minister of Towns and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto, Deputy Commander of the TNI General Tandyo Budi Revia, Head of the National Food Agency Dadan Hindayana, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah, Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Maritime Affairs, Diddia Fisheries Chief Director of Agrinas Pangan Nusantara Joao Angelo de Sousa Mota, and Deputy Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja.
