Mustafizur Rahman became the highest wicket brancher for Bangladesh in international T20
Dubai, September 24 (IANS). Left fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman became the most successful bowler in Bangladesh in T20 International. Rahman took his 150th wicket in T20 International by firing Captain Suryakumar Yadav in the Asia Cup Super-4 match against India. Rahman attacked former captain Shakib Al Hasan’s record of 149 wickets. He also joined the special global club of bowlers who took 150 wickets in the small format. Rahman is only the fourth bowler in the world to achieve this achievement. The Rashid Khan -Tops of Afghanistan with 173 wickets, followed by Tim Southee of New Zealand with 164 wickets. Ish Sodhi of New Zealand took 150 wickets. Rahman jointly finished third in terms of most wickets in international T20 with Sodhi. Rahman’s total figures in T20 international players show his importance in Bangladesh’s bowling attack. He touched the 150 point in his 118th game, with his bowling average less than 21 and the economic rate is slightly above 7. Mustafizur, who is known to be his Yorker, Cutter, one of the few bowlers. He achieved the achievement in taking 5 wickets in a match in T20 International twice. He is the only bowler of Bangladesh who took six wickets in a match in T20 International. He took 6 wickets for 10 runs against the United States in 2024. It is one of the best bowling figures in the history of this format.
