The Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhna met Premier Modi, discussed many issues

New -delhi, October 14 (IANS). Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhna is on a four -day state visit to India. During the visit on Tuesday, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on social media platform X that I was lucky enough to welcome President Khuralsukh in Delhi and to have detailed conversations with him. His visit comes at a time when India and Mongolia complete 70 years of diplomatic relations and a decade of our strategic partnership. Prime Minister Modi said we agreed to continue to work together to further strengthen the voice of the global south and promote global wealth. The areas discussed prominently in our discussions were, among other things, energy, skills development, information technology, critical minerals, rare earth, agriculture, etc. He further said that cultural ties are at the heart of India-Mongolic friendship. In this regard, we made important decisions such as sending the sacred remains of two disciples from Lord Buddha of India to Mongolia, which increases the capacity of Sanskrit education in Gandan, which supports the efforts of Mongolia for digitalization of manuscripts, etc. President Khurelsukh’s visit comes at a time when both countries try to draw their collaborations in areas such as renewing energy, digital renewal, to expand their medicine. In addition, president Drupadi Murmu also welcomed Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhna at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. He organized a state bankette in honor of him. The visit is an important step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Mongolia.
