Four new judges appointed from lawyer quota took the oath of office during the curse -in -ceremony held today in the Rajasthan High Court. Chief Justice MM Srivastava did the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Mukesh Rajpurohit, Justice Sunil Beniwal, Justice Anand Sharma and Justice Sandeep Shah. After these four new appointments, the total number of judges in the Rajasthan High Court increased to 38. It is noteworthy that a total of 50 judges are approved in the Rajasthan High Court. A large number of senior advocates, judicial officers and dignitaries were present during the Curse Ceremony held on the main bench. On this occasion, new appointments were described as an important step towards strengthening the justice system and the early settlement of pending cases. It is noteworthy that currently more than 6.71 Lakh cases in the Rajasthan High Court are pending, including 1.82 Lakh punishment. About 77 percent of these cases are over a year old. The appointment of new judges is expected to expedite the legal process, which will provide the general public. Even after these appointments, 12 approved posts are still vacant, causing more improvement in the light of the increasing number of cases. People related to the judiciary hope that appointments will soon be made to other vacancies, facilitating the legal process.
