The police officer of the police in Haryana: 'will' and 'last note' recover (Lead-1)

Chandigarh, October 7 (IANS). Inspector General of the Police (IG) in Haryana. Puran Kumar allegedly shot himself at his residence in Sector-11, Chandigarh, on Tuesday. The officer died in this incident. A ‘will’ and a ‘last note’ were recovered from the residence of the deceased officer. According to police, Puran Kumar allegedly shot himself with his service revolver. His daughter found his body in the basement. However, no suicide letter was recovered from the scene. His death raised the police and administrative circles. The incident allegedly occurred during the day. The police team from Chandigarh and forensic experts reached the place for investigation. SSP Kanwardep Kaur told the media that the alleged suicide was reported at about 1:30 pm from home number 116 in Sector-11, Chandigarh. He said that the deceased was identified as Puran Kumar. He further said: “The CFSL team reached the place and collected information. Police are also investigating in the incident.” Police have possessed the mobile and other documents of the deceased. The wife of the deceased Amnet is posted as commissioner and secretary in the Department of Foreign Cooperation and is expected to reach India on Wednesday. According to reports, the officer took a gun from an armed man on Monday. Last month he was transferred to the Sunaria Jail of Rohtak. In this prison, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim serves a sentence in the case of Sadhvis sexual exploitation. Earlier, Kumar questioned the promotion of some IPS officials of 1991, 1996, 1997 and 2005.
