The protection of the border even after being tortured

Have you heard of a soldier who even performs his duty after death? Know the inspirational story of baby Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh was an Indian soldier born in Punjab on August 30, 1946. He served in the 23rd Punjab regiment. In 1968, Harbhajan slipped Singh’s leg while doing duty near Nathulula Pass in Sikkim, and he fell off the mountain. His body was not found for a few days. It is said that Harbhajan Singh, after dying, came in the dream of one of his fellow soldiers and told where his body is and buried with the right salute. Since then, the soldiers have often felt that baby Harbhajan was still guarding – many times he was seen patrol at night. The Indian army still believes that baby Harbhajan Singh is doing his duty. He also has an official ‘post’. There is a temple of baby Harbhajan Singh on Natula in the area, where young and tourists bend their heads with reverence. Every day their uniforms and boots are decorated here. Baby’s ‘holiday’ seems to be every year. His possessions are sent in a train to his village Punjab with full respect. During the Natula border meeting, Chinese officials also keep their empty chair, assuming that they are still protecting India. Baby Harbhajan Singh is not just a soldier, he is still an inspiration to the army. His life teaches us that patriotism never ends. Click here Life & Style Click for more stories Click here
