The artist Nahid Al -Sibai raised the controversy of the pioneers of social media, after her statements in one of the dialogue seminars at the Alexandria Film Festival, about the role of the artist, who is considered more important than the preacher, according to her opinion.
Nahed said in the dialogue symposium, that the artist’s role is no less than the preacher in changing behavior or thinking, synonymous: “The main role of the artist does not change the law, the role of the artist is not less if it is more than any preacher in changing behavior, unlike the 4 -hour lecture that the recipient can need.”
She added: “I can work a movie about animals and how do we deal with them, and evacuate the behavior of children and the brown Adams that changes towards the animal. This is our job in art.
The festival activities were held from April 27 to May 2, and included shows for short films from Egypt and the world, in addition to seminars and workshops aimed at supporting young cinematic talents and enhancing dialogue on art and cinema issues.
It is noteworthy that the Alexandria Film Festival, which was established in 2015, is held annually in April in Alexandria, and aims to provide an opportunity for filmmakers to present their work to the audience.
