In this month, a very influential hymn of praise is presented by Shiva -Words, called ‘Shiva Panchakra Stotra’. This hymn is based on the Mantra ‘Namah Shivaya’ and it is believed that the reverence and methodical singing can open the closed gates of the fate of the person. What is the Panchakra Stotra? Panchakshara means “Five letters” and Shiva Panchara Stotra focuses on those holy five letters – N, M, Si, Ya – that makes ‘Namah Shivaya’ Mantra. This hymn is considered composed by Adi Shankaracharya, in which the symbolic and philosophical meaning of these five letters of Shiva is set out in detail. The ratio of Panchakra -Mantra and Panchatattva is said in the Hindu philosophy that this entire creation consists of Panchatattva Earth, Water, Agni, Vayu and Akash. The Shiva Panchara -Mantra is connected to these Panchatattas in depth: an ‘ – Earth is a symbol of element, which reflects the stability, patience and basis of life. ‘M’ – is a symbol of water element, reflecting the purity, flow and emotion. ‘Shi’ – reflects the fire element, which is a symbol of consciousness, energy and change. ‘WA’ – is associated with the air element, which is representative of speed, dialogue and vitality. ‘Y’ – represent the air element, which makes infinity, emptiness and soul aware. In this way, as a dedicated ‘Namah Shivaya’ Mantra or Panchakhara Stotra sings in Sawan, he awakens the energy of these five elements, balancing his body, spirit and soul. Every verse of the Panchakra Stotra is hidden in the miracle, every verse of the Panchakra Stotra sings a form, a symbol of Shiva and the glory of a force. For example: Nagendraharaya trilochanaya bhasmagaragaya maheshwarya. Nityaya shuddhaya Digambarai Tasmai to Karai Nam: Shivaay॥ In this verse, the jewelry of Shiva’s snakes, Trinetra, Bhasma, is explained by the letter. In other such shlokas, different features of Shiva are associated with ‘M’, ‘SHI’, ‘VA’ and ‘Y’ letters. It opens the door of happiness and Karma. This stotra regularly expressed this hymn in the month of Sawan, which not only provides spiritual peace but also brings positive energy into a person’s life. It is said that people who are surrounded by unfavorable conditions, obstacles or failures can activate their fate by singing the Pankakhara Stotra 108 times. It is also described in Scripture that the Panchakra mantra connects to cosmic vibrations and enables the seeker to establish direct contact with God.
