Refused Mathura Road Bungalow, ex-Delhi CM Atatishi awarded Ansari Road home | Today news

Former Delhi Minister Atati, a bungalow on Ansari road has awarded her official accommodation here, sources said on Tuesday. The Department of Public Works (PWD) also issued a tender to perform repair and renovation work worth £ 39 Lakh in the 115 Ansari Road bungalow assigned to the leader of the opposition in the Delhi meeting. “We will perform the general repairs in the bungalow. It has been vacant for more than a year and requires changes in tiles, kitchen, drainage systems and other interiors,” said a senior PWD official. Earlier, atishi requested that she be allowed to retain the AB-17 Mathura Road-Bungalow. However, according to PWD officials, this bungalow is part of the center’s pool of accommodation and cannot be awarded to her as part of Inter-Pool Exchange. Monkey sources said Atatathi wrote to the PWD in March and requested that she be allocated the Bungalow to Ansari Road in Daryaganj, but that she did not receive any answer. The Ansari Road -Bungalow was also offered to Atishi when she was the main minister after the PWD took back the 6, Flagstaff Road Bungalow, as it is part of a CBI investigation. The Flagstaff Road -Bungalow was occupied by Arind Kejriwal as Chief Minister of Delhi from 2015 to September 2024. The AB-17 Mathura Road-Bungalow across from Bharat Mandapam was previously occupied by former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. It was awarded to atatishi after Sisodia went to jail.
