The suicide case of the IPS officer must be investigated impartially: Kumari Selja

Chandigarh, October 11 (IANS). Congress MP Kumari Selja reached senior Haryana IPS officer Y. with Puran Kumar’s home to meet his family. He expressed condolences and raised serious questions about the state government and the administrative system regarding the injustice done to the Dalit community. Kumari Selja said this incident is not only a personal loss, but also a deep blow to social justice and constitutional décor. He said: “I don’t understand how the government works. When it comes to justice, everyone must work united. When the family of Puran Kumar reached the morgue, they said his body was taken somewhere else. All the evidence is there and the whole country looks at what’s going on. It is a test moment for the entire Dalit community and society.” Congress MP Kumari Selja further said that a senior IPS officer, who studied at IIM Ahmedabad and held the post of ADP, was entered into a situation that raised questions about management and legal system. Puran Kumar’s downfall is not only a family loss, but a great pressure on social justice. He said: “If the wife of a senior IAS officer and a person who holds such a high position does not get justice, where will there be hope for justice for the ordinary Dalit and the poor?
