Right now the process of election is so long that the progress of the country stops: Shivraj Singh Chauhan

Patna, April 12 (IANS). Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said at an event organized to Ramakrishna Dwarka College in Patna on the issue of “one nation-one election” that the election process is so long and continuous that it stops the progress of the country. Chauhan said political parties are preparing for an election every year, which delays the pace of development. The time has now come that the question of each section of the country is that elections must be held simultaneously, so that resources and time can be used correctly. During the program, the President of Bihar BJP, dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Mangal Pandey, Minister of Health and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha, also present. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while giving his view in favor of ‘one nation-one election’, said that when elections are held in one state, officials from other states also become involved in election work. The Electoral Commission, Safety Force and other administrative officials leave the general functioning of the state and get busy in the election, which stops the state’s administrative work. Chauhan gave examples that when elections in states such as Bihar, Bengal, Maharashtra, Haryana are held, the entire police and paramilitary forces are doing election work. In addition, employees and officials of the Electoral Commission also leave the work of different departments and are doing election work. He told Asha workers during the election preparations everywhere from the government as teachers are removed from their usual tasks. They work to get a voter list during the election, the list of names from home to home works on. He said when elections are held, officers and military forces are sent from different states to the states where elections are held, which also affect the safety arrangements there. The primary purpose of the security forces must be the service of the public, but they are holding elections. Chauhan said, the process of ‘one nation-one election’ will not only reduce election expenses, but will also use the government’s resources better and there will be no impediment in the progress of the country. -Ians PSM/Ekd shares this story -tags
