Tokyo, June 26 (IANS). On Jindal Global University (JGU) Founder Vice-Chancellor Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar addressed Japanese MPs in the Japan’s national diet at a high-level policy dialog that was arranged for the purpose of strengthening the strategic cooperation of India-Japan. The theme of this prestigious program organized by the Zapanese Parliamentary Committee on World Federation was: “India and Japan: Partners in Democracy, Driver of Innovation and Creator of a Sustainable Future.” Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, in his speech, underlined the growing interest of intermandatory dialogue and educational partnership in dealing with shared global challenges. Professor Kumar said: “We see a historical moment, where universities and parliaments must work together to form the future of democracy and development. India and Japan can move in this direction – not just through economic cooperation, but also by investing in people, knowledge and institutions that promote peace, justice and sustainability.” He said: “The presence of JGU in Parliament of Japan is a symbol of the power to connect cultures and create an alliance. We believe that meaningful diplomacy must also be academically, intellectually and public.” The biggest attraction of the session was the address of Dr. Abhishek M. Singhvi, senior lawyer and MP (Rajya Sabha) of the Supreme Court of India. He spoke openly about India and Japan’s shared democratic values and his ability to influence global dialogue. Dr Singhvi has called on intensive collaboration between India and Japan on areas such as technology, education, climate solution and world administration.
