Nia arrested the 6th accused in Chandigarh Grenade Attack Case

New -Delhi, April 9 (IANS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another accused in a grenade attack case in Sector 10 of Chandigarh. The arrested accused is Abhijot Singh, a resident of the Gurdaspur district Punjab, who was an important role in this conspiracy. According to the NIA, Abhijot Singh was associated with terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda, who was present in Pakistan and American -based Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia, the most important conspirator of the plot of the attack. The NIA filed a charge sheet against four other accused last month, from which two terrorists were succeeded. The first five accused were arrested in this case. Now after the arrest of Abhijot Singh, the NIA has made it clear that he will continue the investigation to emphasize the entire conspiracy of the case. Abhijot Singh was already in jail for a pomegranate attack at another police station. The NIA investigation revealed that he was in direct contact with Happy and played an important role in the conspiracy. Abhijot Singh recorded the target site of the attack several times between July and August 2024, and for this he arranged a motorcycle with a false license plate, which was later stolen. Investigation also revealed that in August 2024, Happy provided pistols to Abhijot and another accused Rohan Christ. In the command of terrorist Rinda and Happy, Abhijot and Rohan Christ, Christ visited the target home twice to carry out the attack, but they could not succeed.
