In Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, a vehicle in the convoy of Foreign Minister Dilip Ahirwar collided with an e-rickshaw, injuring seven people traveling in the vehicle. In the accident, both legs of a 70-year-old man were amputated. As his condition was serious, he was first referred to the district hospital and then to Gwalior. The minister’s convoy was returning from the Dussehra fair. This incident took place on Gaurihar Road near Basantpur Chowkdi of Lavkushanagar Police Station. Sahib Singh (70), son of Khuman Singh, resident of Budora village, returned to his village from Lavkushanagar after Diwali shopping. About seven people were traveling in the e-rickshaw. The rickshaw overturned after the collision. When the convoy of External Affairs Minister Dilip Ahirwar was passing through Basantpur Chowkdi, a vehicle of the convoy collided with an e-rickshaw. The impact was so strong that the e-rickshaw overturned. Both the legs of the elderly Sahib Singh were amputated in the accident, while other passengers sustained minor injuries. The injured elderly man was immediately taken to the Lavkusha Nagar Hospital in a convoy of police vehicles, where he was referred to the district hospital after first aid. Late in the night, when his condition became serious, he was referred to Gwalior from the district hospital. The uncle of the injured elderly person said that the minister was going to a function in Chandla, and the accident happened when a vehicle came behind his convoy. When asked if the minister helped, he said, “He didn’t help. He said we should take him to Gwalior and send his Ayushman card, so we are doing something.” Share this story Tags
