Jakarta – Member of the House of Representatives Commission XII Jamaludin Malik questioned the existence of Tanjung Jati Pltu, Jarplea, who he said did not fully benefit the surrounding community. He emphasized the condition of the village infrastructure around the PLTU which was actually severely damaged, especially in Bondo Village, Kec. Bangri, Jepara Regency. He emphasized that the Pltu social responsibility program or corporate social responsibility (CSR) should be used for the benefit of the community. It was revealed by him in a joint meeting forum of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PT PLN (PERSO) and stakeholders in Semarang, Central -Java, Wednesday (9/24/2025). “I like it extinguishing, I like the corners of Jepara remote I know. Ironically, the villages near the PLTU were damaged. Now is that what I have questioned the CSR so far? Is it no longer prioritized in the area? ‘ Jamaludin said in a written statement on Thursday (9/25/2025). Jamaludin assessed that there was so far no openness about who the beneficiaries of the CSR were. It made the public wonder, even he suspected that most of the benefits of energy projects were not felt by the people of Jepara. Browse to continue with the content “Sir, it is true that most of the benefits of this project ran abroad, while the people of Jepara only received pollution and illness. It is a statement if it does with international standards, why is the CSR report never announced openly?” He said. Another problem that Jamaludin highlighted is the construction of the substation in the Nalumsari district, Jepara since 2018. He emphasized that the project is running without adequate socialization, causing a demonstration of residents. ‘So the implementation in town, Sir, is no socialization at all. So that the pillars are installed in the houses of their residents, he said that he was used to make the old pillars that are damaged, or you are used to make heads. There is a demonstration today, Sir, today in my town, Jamaludin Malik, where the people were in the demonstration. Issue, in its implementation, he saw something that was not properly considered normal. “Things like these that cause our problems,” Jamaludin said. He also hopes that the government and related parties, namely PLN, will pay serious attention to the problems facing the community. Jamaludin argued, although his criticism is at risk of causing resistance from certain parties, he said the DPR could not remain silent. He emphasized that the task of people’s representatives was to vote, the interests of the community, whatever the consequences were. “We must convey as we are. We stand with the people, regardless of the risk,” he said. As we respond to it, PT PLN PLN management director Rizal Calvary Marimbo has an excuse for the problems that have occurred, as well as the unrest of the community around the Tanjung Jati Pltu, Jargea. He said he would form a team and would be directly to the location to see how the system is there, and there is a commission of the community. “There will be a team that explains which micro events take place there. We will note, I will also evaluate immediately,” Rizal concluded. (AKD/AKD)
