The viral dedication of a mosque in Temanggung responds to Dangdut singers, these are the facts

Jakarta – A video has gone viral on social media showing a stage with dangdut singers dressed in sexy clothes. The video caused a stir because there was writing on the stage about the inauguration of the mosque. Reported by detikJateng, in the video, several female singers can be seen singing in revealing clothing such as mini skirts and off-the-shoulder dresses. Several men danced on stage while singing along with the singers. The dangdutan event is said to have been held at the inauguration of the Darul Falah Senden Jambon Gemawang Mosque, Temanggung, Central Java. The head of Jambon Village, Lilis Suharti, admitted that there was a dedication ceremony for a mosque in her village last September. He admitted that he was wrong because the committee used the backdrop used at the mosque inauguration event. “It’s just that the banner is wrong, oh, what can I do if it’s so wrong? Suddenly someone takes a screenshot or takes it, cuts the video and then gives it a negative narrative, in the end there are negative comments,” Lilis said when contacted by detikJateng, Wednesday (22/10/2025). According to him, the inauguration of the mosque was held on 10 September. Meanwhile, the art performance was held the day after, with different events and committees. Read more here. (fas/idh)
