The women of Kannaauj become self -sufficient because of 'Lakhpati Didi Yojana'
KANNAUJ, September 18 (IANS). According to the ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’ national rural livelihood mission, one of the ambitious schemes of Premier Narendra Modi, it plays an important role to make women self-sufficient through self-help groups. The scheme in Kannaauj has financially empowered women, which not only improved their livelihood, but also contributed to the prosperity of their family and community. Through the government’s help and training, these women take steps towards entrepreneurship, strengthening the rural economy. In the past two financial years, 24,089 women have become a millionaire under this scheme in the past two financial years under the central government’s Lakhpati Didi Yojana, whose annual family income has exceeded Rs 1 Lakh, which made them self -sufficient. For the financial year 2025-26, a new target was set to make 28,716 women a millionaire in Kannaauj. The scheme encourages women for entrepreneurship by providing loans and training through self -aid groups and banks, which not only strengthens their economic conditions, but also contributes to the prosperity of their family and community. According to the Deputy Commissioner (self -activity) Rajkumar Lodhi, more than 24,000 women in a year and a half became among the Lakhpati Didi Yojana millionaires. These women are now financially empowered by doing business themselves and is constantly progressing with the maintenance of their family. The Deputy Commissioner said that continuous work on this scheme is underway, and thousands of other women from the district will also become a millionaire by this scheme, which will further strengthen the rural economy and empowerment of women. He told women that women improve the economic condition of the whole family, not just through milk production, needle work, grocery stores, animal husbandry, etc. Not to join.
