India is a country of festivals. Many such festivals are found here that are celebrated across the country. At the same time, there are a few festivals celebrated only in some countries. The uses of these festivals are often strange and if someone knows about them, he is surprised. One such tradition is common in a village in Andhra Pradesh, where people attack each other with cow -mist at the Ugadi festival. According to a report from the Amuseing Planet website, there is a village called Carupala in the Kurnool state andhra Pradesh. In this town, a festival called Ugadi is celebrated in celebration of the Hindu new year. It is celebrated with large pump and on this day people clean their homes. Rangoli is made outside the houses. Wear new clothes. Mangoblare is placed at the main gate of the house and family members first take to oil massage. After these people, people go to the temple and meet friends. The first day is passed in worship, but the second day becomes even more strange. On this day, the villagers are divided into two groups and then make teams and miss each other. It’s like a fight and they use cow -manure as a weapon and throw it on each other. This war is called Pidakala Samaram or Pidakala War. It is a tradition of hundreds of years old. It is believed that the goddess Bhadrakali and Lord Virbhadra were about to marry. Virbhadra introduced her for marriage and chased her. Bhadrakali told her that if she came for marriage, she would throw at her cow -mist. The next day when Virbhadra came for the marriage, Bhadrakali asked the residents to attack them with cow -mist. What was it then, the followers of the two gods began to attack each other with cow dung. After this incident, however, both were married. It is believed that eating cow -manure improves the health of people and that there is a good rainfall in the village. Share this story -tags
