Big decision after Ahmedabad aircraft crash will reduce Air India international flights by 15 percent
New -Delhi, June 18 (IANS). After the Ahmedabad aircraft crash, Air India announced on Wednesday that it would cut its broad aircraft by 15 percent. This deduction will be implemented by June 20 and will continue until at least mid -July. The airline said in its statement: “This step has been taken to increase the availability of reserve flies with us, so that any unexpected obstruction can be resolved in time.” The decision was made recently after Air India Flight AI 171 crashed, in which 241 passengers and crew members tragically died. The airline said this deduction is being made with the aim of maintaining stability in operations, ensuring better efficiency and reducing the inconvenience to passengers. Air India apologized to the passengers in question, saying that they would get information in advance and that all attempts would be made to place in alternative flights. Passengers can recreate their journey without any additional fee or get the full refund. The airline said the schedule of new international flights will be implemented from June 20. ‘Improved Security Investigation Investigation Investigation was made compulsory by DGCA on Air India’s Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft. The investigation of 26 aircraft out of a total of 33 was completed and was approved for service. The investigation into the remaining aircraft will be completed in the coming days. Air India also said that additional safety controls will be exported on Boeing 777 aircraft and that full cooperation with all the agencies involved will continue. Air India said attempts to help the families and the injured with the coordination of the Government of Gujarat and the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The airline said: “This is an essential step to restore operational stability and protect the passengers at the last minute from the discomfort. We are confident that we will overcome this difficult period using countrymen, travelers and all stakeholders.
