Theft in Ballia Thieves break into 11 rooms and steal cash and jewellery

At the time of the incident, which took place at the house of Tarun Prakash Singh, manager of Ankur Public Inter College, only his cousin Gyan Singh was present. The thieves took cash, jewelry and other valuables. The police have reached the spot and are investigating. There is panic among the people due to increasing incidents of theft in the area. Jagran Correspondent, Bansdih (Ballia): Thieves targeted a large house in nearby Halpur village on Wednesday evening and broke the locks of 11 rooms and made away with cash, jewelery and valuables worth lakhs of rupees. This major incident of theft spread sensation throughout the area. His cousin Gyan Singh was alone present in the house at the time of the incident, while other family members had gone to Delhi for treatment. The thieves entered the house late at night by breaking the back door and broke the locks of 11 rooms and cupboards. After this, they stole a large quantity of household items including four gold chains, four rings, four earrings, four pairs of silver anklets, clothes, cutlery, induction stove, gas stove and about Rs 40 thousand in cash. When Gyan Singh woke up early in the morning, he came to know about the theft after seeing things scattered in the courtyard. He immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, Kotwal Rakesh Upadhyay reached the spot with the police force and called the forensic team and investigated the incident. The team collected evidence and samples from the spot. The family members told that there was an attempted theft in the same house during Navratri as well, but at that stage the thieves escaped when the family members woke up. Even then, the police were informed and an on-site inspection was carried out. Despite this, questions are being raised about policing due to the repeated incident of theft in the same house. There is anger among the local people towards the police administration due to the ever increasing incidents of theft in the area. People say that not disclosing past theft incidents boosts the morale of thieves.
