Theft of three buffaloes revealed, four accused arrested, buffaloes recovered, thieves of Sagath Khurd caught
The Kelwara police station, while solving the September 20 buffalo theft case, arrested four notorious thieves and seized three stolen buffaloes. This action by the police has brought relief in the rural areas, because incidents of cattle theft have increased recently. The incident took place on the night of September 20. Police station officer Vishal Gawariya said Jai Singh, son of Bhair Singh, resident of Guda van Sisodi, filed a complaint on the night of September 20 that unknown thieves had stolen three buffaloes from his camp. After the report, the police immediately registered the case and started investigation. Considering the gravity of the incident, a special team was constituted under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Roshanlal Regar headed by Police Station Officer Gawaria. Clues found through technical analysis and information received from informants: The police team continued the investigation based on CCTV footage of the surrounding area, mobile location and information received from informants. Acting on the information, the team raided Sagath Khurd village in Rajnagar police station area. The secret of the theft came to light during the questioning of the suspects. Four accused arrested after they confessed to theft. The four accused arrested by the police have been identified as Sohanlal Suthar, Laxmanlal Savli, Prataplal Savli and Mahendra Singh. During police interrogation, the four accused confessed to the crime and said that they stole buffaloes from the Guda of Sisodis at night and hid them in Sagath Khurd. Three buffaloes recovered: After receiving information from the accused, the police team raided the spot and seized three stolen buffaloes. After legal proceedings, the seized animals were returned to their rightful owner Jaisingh. Station Head Gawariya said that a case has been registered against the four accused under Section 379 (livestock theft) of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation is underway. Villagers expressed relief. After this revelation, villagers praised the speed of the Kelwara police.
