International Yoga Day 2025: Western Railway Employees in Ahmedabad did yoga with enthusiasm

Ahmedabad, June 21 (IANS). The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Ahmedabad section of Western Railway. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Ayush, a yoga session was held from 07:00 to 8:00 in the community building of Sabarmati. On this occasion, railway employees, officers and their families gave the message of a healthy life through yoga. Sudhir Kumar, Railway Manager of the Western Railway Division, participated in the yoga session and advised everyone to make yoga a part of life. He spoke to the news agency Ians and said: “Stress and illnesses have become common in the busy life of today. Yoga and exercise keep us physically and mentally healthy. Railway employees should not only do yoga themselves, but also motivate their family for this.” He emphasized the importance of yoga in the modern lifestyle, saying: “Stress comes in everyone’s life, but yoga gives us the power to deal with it. India is the Father of Yoga and we must keep our thoughts, promise and actions pure by adopting this inheritance. Yoga keeps the employees refreshed and energetic in a stressful field.” Sudhir Kumar called on everyone to make yoga a part of daily life and said it was a strong basis to contribute to the developed India. In the yoga session, railway employees practiced Tadasana, Shavasan, Pranayama and other rugs. The instructors explained the physical and mental benefits of yoga, which increased the enthusiasm and awareness among the participants.
