Greater Noida: General Secretary Para Sarathi Visit Jims

Greater Noida, March 29 (IANS). Partha Sarathi sen Sharma, general secretary, medical, health and family welfare department and medical education department, the government of Uttar Pradesh, visited the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (Jims) on Saturday. In this important tour, he reviewed the educational, research and medical facilities of the institute and evaluated the progress of Jim’s. The director of Jims, Brigadier, dr. Rakesh Gupta, welcomed the general secretary and delivered a detailed presentation on the current activities and future plans of the Institute. He emphasized the innovations made by the Institute of Medical Education, Research and Patient Care. The general secretary, who appreciates the achievements of Jim’s in the treatment of infectious diseases such as Super Speciality OPD, Emergency Services, Covid and Dengue, congratulated the entire team of the Institute for outstanding work and instructed to further upgrade it in the future. The general secretary was made aware of the updated status of the Jims Medical College Building Project. 56 hectares of land were allocated near the hospital by the Greater Noida Authority, which was approved by the Cabinet of the UP government in April 2022. Director Jims presented a detailed progress report from all these projects. PWD Meerut Zone Chief Engineer as Chaudhary, Assistant Engineer Prakhar Jain, Uprnn, Uppcl, PWD and representatives of the architectural firm Suresh Goyal Associates were also present in the meeting. The general secretary said the project is extremely important, taking into account the needs of the future, and it said that it should be done with strong and modern techniques. He said that if any additional facility is needed, it should be included as a supplementary project. After this, the general secretary visited the Medical Innovation Center, the Department of Medical Research and the latest Audiometry room. He appreciates the advanced research works done in Jims and asked to make ongoing efforts to make the institute a pioneer in medical innovations. He distributed tablets to paramedic students under the fungal vivekananda youth empowerment scheme of the government of Uttar Pradesh. This scheme was launched in the year 2023 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, including free smartphones and tablets given to deserving students receiving higher education. The purpose of this scheme is to connect and technically empower students with digital education. The general secretary reviewed various training programs offered in Jim’s and emphasized the need for non-educational positions in the institute.
