Food these traditional dishes make Onam memorable! 1. Avia is a thick curry that contains many types of vegetables, such as carrots, pumpkins, drums and beans. It is made with coconut and quark paste. It can be eaten with or without rice. 2. Olan Olan is a light and fresh curry made by cooking white pumpkin and cow in coconut milk. It has light spices and coconut oil taste. 3. Police Conseri This is a sour curry of quark and vegetables. Pumpkin, cucumber or pineapple is added. Jagging, chilli and spices are added to make the police sweet, sour and spiced. 4. Sambar Sambar is a delicious and famous curry, made of lentils and many types of vegetables, such as carrots, brinjal, potatoes and onions.
