Thirst will be quenched by Solar Panghat in Banedia-Dhilikheda
Now a new wave of development will flow in tribal areas. Solar water tanks will be installed to quench villages’ thirst, community halls will be built for social interaction and infrastructure from cremation grounds to paved roads will be strengthened. The Tribal Area Development Commissioner of Udaipur has given administrative approval for these projects. 30 percent of this development fund will be given from SFC and FFC funds and 70 percent will be given from Tribal Fund. Under this initiative, work will be started in selected villages of 11 districts: Banswara, Barmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jalore, Karauli, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Salumber and Dungarpur. In Rajsamand district, seven villages in Rajsamand, Deogarh and Railmagra areas have been selected for development projects: Kundwa, Bhachediya, Anoppura, Kharnia, Banediya, Dhili Kheda and Kana Kheda. In these villages, works like roads, electricity, solar water tank, community hall and cremation ground will be done at a total cost of ₹ 156.50 lakh. The Commissioner instructed the CEO of the Zilla Parishad to send the estimates, technical approval and documents of all the projects to the Commissioner soon so that the work can start on time. It is noteworthy that development works will be done in around 260 villages of tribal areas. Work under Tribal Partnership Scheme: All these works are done under Tribal Partnership Scheme, which also ensures participation of the local community. The aim of this scheme is to enable the villagers to participate in the development of their villages and play an active role in monitoring the projects. This project, a concrete step towards development, will not only strengthen the infrastructure in Rajsamand district but will also promote water conservation, community unity and other energy sources. Solar water tank will increase the availability of water and reduce the dependence on electricity. Community halls will become centers of rural culture and social interaction. Share this story Tags
