Fake e-Challan link on the mobile councilor in DayalBand, cheated on three lakh calls
The case of a false link from e-Challan on the cellphone of the councilor Brother Maurya van Wyk Number 36 of Dayalband came to light. The fraudsters got their confidential information by sending the link on the councilor’s cellphone and then transferring the amount of their bank account. According to sources, the fraudsters sent a false link from e-Challan to the councilor. After clicking on the link, banking and personal information were sought from the councilor, after which three lakh calls were transferred from his account. This phenomenon is an example of digital fraud, in which social engineering was used. Bandhu Maurya, complaint and police action, filed a complaint with the entire case with the Kotwali police station. Police have registered a crime on the charge of the councilor and began investigating the case. Police officers say the accused can only be reached after the logs and transaction data have been investigated in the cases of digital fraud. Experts should ensure that it can be dangerous to click on e-Challan or any bank-related link without confirmation. Personal and banking information should be avoided on any false link.
