Howrah, October 11 (IANS). The West Bengal Congress in Charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir took part in the ‘voter rights conference’ in Shivpur, Howrah, on Saturday. During the institution of enthusiasm among the congress supporters, he also made a shocking attack on central and state governments. Ghulam Ahmed Mir accused BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) of indifference to the public and violate promises. While talking to journalists, he expressed his opinion on many important issues. Ghulam Ahmed Mir said: “Whether it’s the BJP or the Trinamole Congressional Government, despite the fact that they have been in power for a long time, they have not even fulfilled one percent of their promises. This is an increasing anger among the public. There is a limitation to people’s anger. He also targeted the governor and said that he acted like “part of the government of Delhi” and a “agent of the BJP”. The leader of the congress accused the central and state governments of ignoring the needs of the people. He said: “What did these governments do to meet the demands of the people in all these years? This question must be raised. But instead, division politics goes among them.” He talked about Sir’s issue and said that Congress has no objection to it, but there are questions about its functioning. There must be discussions with all recognized political parties inside and outside Parliament. This has not happened in Bihar and there are now plans to implement it in Western Bengals. In such a situation, the public must be aware. Ghulam Ahmed Mir further said that I appealed to the congressional workers to unite and raise the issues of the public. We must fight the upcoming meeting elections with power, and our goal must be to form the government in the state. The congress part works to increase the voice of the people, our struggle will continue. The public now wants change and the congress is ready to lead this change. Together with Mir, the president of the Western Bengal Congress, Subhankar Sarkar, the senior leader Pradeep Bhattacharya and other prominent leaders were present at the conference. -—IANS AKKS/GKT Share this story Tags
